Job Summary
Perform residential HVAC retrofit installations from start to finish, including furnaces, air handlers, condensers, heat pumps, and ductwork. Read installation layouts and system designs, then troubleshoot challenges to ensure all work meets manufacturer specifications, safety standards, and local code requirements. Verify system performance through startup procedures, communicate professionally with homeowners and staff, and maintain organized job sites and documentation. Work 40 to 50 hours per week, primarily Monday through Friday with occasional Saturday availability, serving Austin and surrounding areas.
Required Qualifications
- 1–2 years of residential HVAC installation experience
- Strong understanding of airflow, duct design, static pressure, and HVAC system performance
- Ability to install and commission complete residential HVAC systems
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to work in attics, crawl spaces, rooftops, and varying weather conditions
Desired Qualifications
- EPA Certification preferred
- NATE Certification preferred
- Experience with inverter systems, Mitsubishi equipment, Carrier Infinity systems, or other high-end residential HVAC systems preferred
- Brazing and advanced HVAC troubleshooting experience preferred
- Experience with load calculations and HVAC system design concepts preferred
