Job Summary
Lead new residential and multi-family construction projects by installing, modifying, inspecting, repairing, and maintaining HVAC equipment per specifications and codes. Manage crews and multiple projects simultaneously while building schedules to meet deadlines. Identify hazards and safety problems on the job site, then take corrective action to ensure quality and business continuity. Read blueprints, complete quality control sheets, and make decisions without interruption. Work 6 AM to 5 PM Monday through Friday with occasional Saturdays.
Required Qualifications
- Leadership skills and the ability to empower individuals on your team
- Ability to produce quality work
- Excellent communication skills to be used when working with builders, general contractors, and project managers
- Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures including ventilation, air conditioning, heating, and environmental control systems
- Ability to follow directions
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license
- Strong work ethic that you display daily
- Ability to read blueprints
- Ability to work 6 AM to 5 PM Monday through Friday and an occasional Saturday
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry heavy objects, typically up to 50–75 lbs independently
- Capacity to perform physically demanding tasks such as climbing ladders, crawling into tight spaces (like crawlspaces or attics), and kneeling or crouching for extended periods
- Strong hand-eye coordination and the ability to handle small tools and components with precision
- Ability to stand and walk for the duration of an 8–12 hour shift, often in varying weather conditions or non-climate-controlled environments
