HVAC Installer I

Job Summary
Install, lay out, and assemble HVAC piping systems for commercial projects, including copper, steel, and PVC piping; measure, cut, thread, and bend pipe to required angles; perform brazing, soldering, and welding as needed; read and interpret blueprints and specifications to ensure accurate installation; install and support HVAC equipment such as chillers, boilers, air handlers, and pumps; pressure test piping systems to identify and repair leaks; collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other trades; maintain safety and quality standards; mentor apprentice installers when assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of commercial HVAC installation experience, with strong piping background
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school training preferred
- Certifications: EPA Universal Certification required; OSHA 10 or 30 preferred; Welding or brazing certification a plus
- Skills: Ability to read blueprints and mechanical drawings; Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and piping installation methods; Excellent mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills; Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in various environments
