Job Summary
The HVAC Lead Installer installs HVAC equipment for residential and light commercial customers, performing installation of condensers, coils, furnaces, package and roof top units, mini splits, thermostats, high-efficiency air filters, and IAQ products. Responsibilities include installation and/or design of ducts for ventilation, wiring of high-efficiency systems, zoning, humidifiers/dehumidifiers and controls, ensuring quality through layout, sealing, cleanliness, and adherence to installation details. Completes daily paperwork, researches materials as needed, and promotes workplace safety and environmental practices. Develops HVAC system modification plans, maintains the company vehicle, and loads equipment/materials for scheduled jobs. Maintains equipment and supplies, ensures proper use, and supports continuous improvement. Requires physical work and travel to job sites, with a focus on quality production and customer service. Must possess EPA certification, own necessary tools, read schematics/blueprints, and have knowledge of building materials and codes relevant to HVAC.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of 2 years of installation experience is preferred
- HS Diploma or GED required
- EPA certification required
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Must own hand tools and power tools applicable to complete installations
- Ability to read schematics and blueprints and/or technical manuals
- Complete knowledge of mechanical systems, building materials, and basic building codes as related to HVAC
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Position requires heavy physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling up to 50 pounds
