Job Summary
A Project Technician is responsible for executing HVAC replacement and retrofit projects for commercial clients, ranging from individual unit replacements to full system redesign. Requires 5+ years of commercial HVAC service/project experience, knowledge of HVAC equipment and installation practices, and proficiency with sheet metal, piping, brazing, soldering, electrical installation, crane picks and rigging. Duties include planning, installation and startup of HVAC equipment (pumps, RTUs, boilers, cooling towers, exhaust fans, VAV/FPB), coordinating with subcontractors, reviewing submittals and drawings, reading equipment schematics and test equipment, using power tools, maintaining safety procedures, and communicating with customers. overtime/night/weekend work and a company vehicle are provided. Pay scale: $38/hour to $48/hour.
Required Qualifications
- Must possess a Universal EPA license
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record
- Must be able to pass a criminal check pre-employment drug test, along with ongoing random drug testing
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
