Job Summary
Lead HVAC Install Apprentices in the performance and completion of HVAC mechanical and electrical systems installation work. Plan work, assign tasks, prioritize schedules, and conduct on-the-job training while performing a wide variety of installations for residential and light commercial buildings. Maintain accurate accounting of inventory, manage tools on the assigned vehicle, and document actions through records and paperwork. Provide positive, proactive, customer-oriented service and troubleshoot issues with little to no supervision. This safety-sensitive role requires a valid driver's license, strong mechanical aptitude, and adherence to OSHA standards. No on-call rotation applies.
Required Qualifications
- Possession of a valid driver's license and good driving record
- Possess great mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
- Must be able to adapt to changing and growing work environment
- Must be clean, maintain a professional appearance, and communicate well with customers
- Demonstrated ability to read and understand technical instructions
- Excellent communication and listening
- Knowledge of equipment, tools and methods commonly applied in HVAC installations
- Ability to learn in classroom and hands on
- Computer knowledge and the ability to apply the necessary software tools, such as time keeping and scheduling
- Must be punctual and adhere to a daily schedule with multiple appointments in different locations
- Successful completion of a preemployment drug screen and background check
