Job Summary
HVAC & Gas Technician at Canadian Forces Base Petawawa accountable for implementing and documenting a preventive maintenance program to keep residential heating systems and air conditioning units in good working condition. Responsibilities include maintenance, repair and replacement of heating systems and air conditioning units, belts/pulleys/bearings/pump seals, combustion testing, balancing and adjusting; responding to reactive maintenance and after-hours calls; participating in in-service training; and communicating work status to client groups per policy.
Required Qualifications
- Current Refrigeration and Air Conditioning or working towards
- Minimum Class G3. G2 or G1 preferred
- Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract
- Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in a similar position
- Ability to read, write and speak English fluently
- Computer literate and familiar with MS Word, Excel and database
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
- Must be comfortable and able to work on a ladder. Working at Heights. Lifts, and roof tops
- Fully vaccinated
