Job Summary
Supervise and participate in the installation, maintenance and repair of air conditioning and refrigeration systems and equipment. Plan, schedule and assign work to ensure proper staffing and efficient performance; provide training to personnel; participate in hiring, performance appraisals, and scheduling time off; contribute to preventive maintenance programs; and support on-call rotation as Supervisor On Call. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities include working with blueprints, schematics, sketches, HVAC maintenance and repair, and coordination with vendors/contractors to ensure compliance with specifications.
Required Qualifications
- Education: high school + 2 years of technical training in refrigeration, heating and air handling
- Experience: 2 years journeyman experience in installation/maintenance/repair of HVAC systems, working from blueprints/schematics
- EPA CFC certification
- Ability to supervise personnel, assign work, and manage scheduling; participate in on-call rotation
