HVAC Field Service Technician - RedGuard

Job Summary

Assess and complete basic repairs on modular buildings, including door hinges, flooring, carpentry, and HVAC issues, while following strict safety procedures at high-security sites like refineries. Support routine preventative maintenance, help with building installs and removals, and maintain tools and inventory on the service truck. Provide on-site support to experienced technicians and coordinate with subcontractors as needed. This entry-level role requires frequent travel, a valid driver's license, and DOT/TWIC certification, with shifts ranging from 10 to 12 hours across all four seasons. You will build skills in problem-solving and hands-on repairs within a team dedicated to quality and reliability.

Required Qualifications

  • 6+ months of experience in a service or industrial setting, preferably refinery or Petro-chemical industry
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DOT Medical Examiner's Certification [Medical Card]
  • Ability to obtain a TWIC® card
  • Must be able to travel frequently
  • Some knowledge of the construction field, including skills in carpentry, plumbing, electrical and/or HVAC
  • Basic computer skills, including MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to operate forklifts, manlifts and aerial platforms
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. of materials or tools
  • Able to work on roofs and at heights in excess of 8 feet
  • Able to wear all of the designated proper PPE during an entire 10 to 12-hour shift while on site
  • Able to understand and follow all of the safety requirements including Lock Out/Tag Out, the proper operation of tools, equipment, vehicles and handling if materials
  • Visual Acuity Requirements: 20/20 vision or correctable to 20-20 vision
  • Able to wear (if needed) prescription safety glasses while on the job and operating equipment without having to wear contacts
  • Working in the four seasons of the year in the continental United States and Canada
  • Varying conditions from hot and humid to wet, cold and sometimes freezing temperatures
  • Subject to pre-employment drug testing
  • Subject to ongoing testing in accordance with company policy and applicable federal regulations, including those established by the Department of Transportation (DOT) and the Drug and Alcohol Testing Consortium (DISA), where applicable
  • Meet eligibility requirements for access to export-restricted information (ITAR/EAR)
  • U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee
