Job Summary
Fabricate custom HVAC vent systems by cutting, shaping, soldering, and assembling metal components according to blueprints and production specifications. Measure materials with a tape measure, form and install collars, and verify dimensional quality while maintaining accurate production documentation. Operate a sit-down forklift as needed, use hand and air tools safely, and participate in routine shop housekeeping. Follow all safety policies and work independently during 8-10 hour shifts in a non-climate controlled environment. Overtime is mandatory, and personal cell phone use is prohibited during work hours.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to read a tape measure to 1/16 inch
- Must be available to work overtime
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, and air tools
- Ability to read and follow blueprints
- Comfortable working independently
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to routinely lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds
- Ability to stand on concrete for 8-10 hour shifts
- Steel-toed boots required
- Dependable attendance during the training period
- Commitment to following workplace procedures
- Willingness to work required overtime
- Ability to work independently while maintaining productivity and quality
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and follow established procedures
Desired Qualifications
- Sit-down forklift experience
- Previous manufacturing, sheet metal, HVAC, assembly, or fabrication experience
- Ability to read 2D and 3D blueprints
- Experience with soldering or light metal fabrication
