Job Summary
HVAC/Exhaust-focused Facilities Mechanical Engineer at Samsung Austin Semiconductor. Key duties include maintaining utility systems for a 24/7 semiconductor fab, capacity management, problem solving, root cause analysis, engineering design, cost estimation, financial management, and project management. Develop and review operations and maintenance procedures, assist/lead in troubleshooting, forecast capacity needs and associated costs, implement cost-reduction projects, and create/modify SOPs. Collaborate with internal customers, apply 5S to improve efficiency and safety, and drive standardization of site specifications and procedures. Requires strong communication, analytical, time-management, and cross-functional collaboration skills; candidates should demonstrate initiative and the ability to deliver multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 3+ years of experience in facilities, mechanical systems, or HVAC/Exhaust design and construction
- Professional Engineering (PE) License or Engineer In Training (EIT) preferred
- Project Management Professional (PMP) a plus
