Job Summary
Receive requests for quotations and prepare accurate, timely cost estimates and proposals for HVAC projects. Analyze mechanical plans to evaluate system capacity, design feasibility, and code compliance, while suggesting design adjustments. Confer with customers, sales account managers, and outside sales engineers to assess equipment needs and determine system requirements. Plan and modify product configurations to meet customer needs, generate submittals with accurate drawings, and recommend improved products to lower costs or increase efficiency. Serve as an internal resource for customers, sales teams, and branch personnel by providing technical and non-technical support regarding equipment use, operation, and maintenance. This role supports DNE's estimating efforts for applied product lines and commercial HVAC system quoting.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree or higher
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Outlook, and Word
- Ability to learn and effectively utilize DNE's CRM platform and other required business systems
- Basic understanding of the refrigeration cycle
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across teams
- Positive flexible attitude, with a can-do approach to solving challenges
- Ability to apply good judgement, strong work ethics and integrity on the job
- Must be able to perform essential responsibilities with reasonable accommodations
Desired Qualifications
- Some understanding of HVAC systems
- Previous HVAC experience
- Engineering degree
