Job Summary
Lead project estimation by preparing Bills of Quantities, cost estimates, and professional tender submissions while studying plans, specifications, and schedules to identify and project costs. Collaborate daily with the Managing Director, Project Managers, and Quantity Surveyors to clarify scope, design issues, and achieve accurate pricing during tender preparation. Obtain competitively priced materials, prepare Scope of Works, and ensure submissions comply with client and tender requirements. Track tender packages to contractors and suppliers, report on risks and opportunities, and maintain relationships with existing clients. Full-time 40-hour dayshift with remote work from the Philippines; VA rate $10-12 AUD per hour.
Required Qualifications
- Good communication skills
- Working knowledge and understanding of architectural drawings
- Must be flexible and be able to work to tight deadlines
- Previous experience in a similar role is essential - general estimator
- The ability to work autonomously and as a part of a team
- Be flexible and progressive in thinking and be able to action thoughts
- Proficient skills in excel
- Detail oriented (provide detailed quotes covering materials, labor, and installation costs)
