Job Summary
Prepare comprehensive and accurate cost estimates for commercial and residential HVAC projects by analyzing blueprints, specifications, and other documents to determine scope and materials. Source and obtain quotes from suppliers and subcontractors while collaborating with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure estimates align with project goals and budget. Maintain a database of material costs, labor rates, and historical project data, identifying potential risks and opportunities that may affect project costs. Present and review estimates with management and clients. This full-time role requires proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite, along with strong analytical and communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as an HVAC Estimator or in a similar role
- In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems, components, and installation methods
- Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and project specifications
- Proficiency with estimating software (e.g., AccuBid, FastDUCT, Bluebeam) and Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
Desired Qualifications
- A relevant degree or certification is a plus
