Job Summary
Maintain and repair all heating, cooling, and boiler equipment throughout the building, including troubleshooting, diagnosing, and replacing defective components like motors, compressors, and controls. Perform scheduled preventative maintenance, analyze blueprints and work orders, and monitor the boiler room while adhering to OSHA regulations and freon handling licenses. Install or assist in relocating equipment and drive a company vehicle as needed. This role requires a licensed HVAC technician with at least two years of commercial repair experience, based at Hollywood Casino Joliet within the Penn National Gaming entertainment industry.
Required Qualifications
- Equivalent to at least 2 years training associated with commercial heating and cooling repairs
- A universal refrigeration card
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must understand and speak the English language
- Must have a valid Illinois Drivers License
- Must be licensed to handle freon
- knowledgeable in all OSHA regulations and requirements for handling and disposing of same
- Must be able to push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 250 lbs occasionally
- Must be able to lift 70+ pounds
- ability to ascend and descend heights on ladders and lifts
- work in a variety of harsh climates
