Job Summary
Repair and maintain all HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and pool equipment across the property to ensure guest comfort and operational safety. Tear down AC units, clean fan coils, adjust BCU settings, and troubleshoot kitchen refrigerators, ice makers, and commercial kitchen machinery. Perform plumbing repairs on toilets, drains, and piping; install fixtures, paint walls, and refinish furniture. Install locks, adjust doors, and maintain fire protection systems. Conduct daily water quality checks for pools, vacuum debris, and manage chemical inventory. Respond to pager calls, complete work orders, log daily activities, and coordinate inventory with the supervisor while keeping shop areas clean and safe. Maintain accurate records on all equipment and meter readings.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Ability to work independently and with a team
- At least two years experience in all areas of building trades
- Excellent mechanical and operational troubleshooting skills
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize
- High School diploma or equivalent
- HVAC certification
- Experience with using and maintaining variety of tools
- Understanding of the safe use and storage of chemicals, e.g. paint, pool, etc.
- Experience in problem solving and critical thinking
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in a hotel engineering environment
