Job Summary
Lead the design and development of HVAC systems, including equipment selection, layout, and specifications; perform load calculations and energy analysis; produce coordinated construction documents and technical specifications; coordinate with electrical/plumbing and other disciplines; manage HVAC scopes across multiple projects, lead small project teams, track progress, and ensure quality and timely delivery; participate in internal knowledge-sharing and professional development; maintain awareness of codes, standards, and best practices; pursue licensure as appropriate; role located in the San Francisco Bay Area with site visits primarily day trips.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline
- 5+ years of experience in a building systems or MEP consulting environment
- Demonstrated ability to lead HVAC design efforts and manage project responsibilities
- Strong technical foundation in HVAC systems, codes, and energy performance
- Clear, professional communication skills and comfort working client-facing
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred; licensure-in-progress considered
- Candidates must reside in or be willing to relocate to the San Francisco Bay Area
