Job Summary
Develop detailed HVAC shop drawings using AutoCAD based on design and site requirements, ensuring all outputs adhere to relevant standards, codes, and project specifications. Extract quantities of ducting, piping, grilles, and other components from drawings to prepare accurate material submittals and Bill of Quantities for estimation and procurement. Coordinate with engineers and other disciplines to resolve technical issues, updating and revising drawings as per site conditions and design changes. This role supports the Sales & Projects team, requiring a strong technical foundation in HVAC systems, ducting, and piping with hands-on AutoCAD expertise.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience in HVAC drafting/design
- Proficient in AutoCAD for HVAC shop drawing preparation
- Good understanding of ductwork layout, pipe routing, and HVAC component placement
- Strong ability to read and interpret HVAC design and construction drawings
- Experience in preparing BOQs and material take-offs
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with HVAC codes and standards
