Job Summary
HVAC Dispatcher role responsible for communicating with customers to determine service needs, scheduling and notifying technicians of assignments using GPS tracking and dispatching software, and maintaining detailed service records. Primary duties include customer service, managing work orders, updating the computer database with job histories, maintaining the dispatch board for technician capacity, coordinating on-call schedules, and ensuring effective communication with customers and technicians. Strong emphasis on professional telephone manners, multitasking with a multi-line phone system, and coordinating with field technicians to meet service needs.
Required Qualifications
- Requires a high school diploma
- Previous dispatching/customer service experience
- Experience and utilizing judgment to plan and accomplish goals
- Follow up and follow through with technicians and customers to help maintain good customer relationships
- A professional and courteous telephone manner
- Ability to handle a multiple-lined phone system; GPS system and dispatch to multiple field technicians
- Patience and endurance to sit/stand behind a desk all day
