Job Summary
Develop and maintain custom Revit add-ins and automation tools using C#, Python, and the Revit API to streamline HVAC engineering workflows. Design AI solutions for load calculations, equipment selection, and code compliance while creating data pipelines that integrate BIM models with engineering databases. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to analyze design data for process improvements and prepare technical documentation for internal tools. This role supports Salas O'Brien Canada's digital transformation of HVAC consulting, combining mechanical engineering fundamentals with software development to deliver faster, smarter building design solutions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Additional degree, diploma, or significant coursework in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- Understanding of HVAC systems and building services engineering fundamentals
- Knowledge of Autodesk Revit and BIM workflows
- Programming experience in Python, C#, JavaScript, or similar languages
- Familiarity with databases, APIs, and software development principles

Desired Qualifications
- 1 – 2 years of industry experience
