Job Summary
Conduct classroom teaching and hands-on skills training in Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning systems aligned with the Job Corps Career Technical Training curriculum. Prepare students for entry-level employment and national certifications including EPA 608 and NCCER. Provide comprehensive case management to ensure student progress, achievement, and completion of the program while monitoring graduate placements. Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive student data and ensure the Center meets DOL performance goals. Mentor students, model Career Success Standards, and hold them accountable for behavioral standards. Work full-time Monday through Friday from 7:45 to 4:45.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of one-year experience in teaching or related field
- Certified, licensed, or accredited in the state in which the center is located, or is accredited by a professional trade organization
- For NTC, instructor must be certified by union or trade organization, or by a national trade certifying organization
- Must possess a valid Drivers License and meet company insurability requirements
- Demonstrates the ability to lift 40 pounds and/or the ability to assess the lift load in order to ask for necessary assistance
- Physical requirements include sitting, standing, climbing, walking, lifting, pulling and/or pushing, carrying, reaching, stooping and crouching
