Job Summary
Lead a crew of one to two HVAC installers in residential projects, coordinating workflow, assigning tasks, and ensuring timelines are met. Provide day-to-day leadership, on-the-job training, and guidance while actively participating in installations of air-source heat pumps, ductless mini-splits, hybrid systems, boilers, furnaces, and water heaters. Inspect completed work against company standards, manufacturer specs, and Connecticut codes to maintain quality and safety. Enforce safety protocols, conduct briefings, and mitigate hazards. Communicate with customers to understand requirements and address inquiries. Requires a Connecticut S-2 Journeyperson License, EPA Certification, and five years of residential HVAC experience. Based in customer settings and warehouse environments involving travel.
Required Qualifications
- Connecticut S-2 Journeyperson License
- EPA Certification
- Minimum five (5) years of residential HVAC installation experience
- Demonstrated experience installing air-source heat pumps, ductless mini-split systems, hybrid heating systems, boilers, furnaces, central air conditioning systems, standard and heat pump water heaters
- Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures related to construction work
- Requires proficiency in reading, writing, and communicating in English
- Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds
- Must be able to climb ladders
- Must be able to enter crawl spaces
- Must be able to stand on roofs
- Must be able to move up and down stairs safely
- Must be able to work in attics
- Must be able to work in basements
- Must be able to work in small-confined spaces
