Job Summary
HVAC Controls Technician responsible for system commissioning using Johnson Controls configuration and tools; loads controller software, conducts diagnostics on HVAC mechanical/electrical/controls components, calibrates devices, and completes as-built documentation. Drives customer communication on progress, adheres to safety standards, and provides coaching/technical assistance to team members while coordinating with subcontractors to ensure on-time, within-scope project delivery and commissioning of digital HVAC controls systems.
Required Qualifications
- Required Technical Associates Degree with two years of field experience or four years of equivalent related field experience in the building automation industry, programming panel controls preferably HVAC equipment
- Experience managing projects
- Must have the ability to communicate technical material to a non-technical audience
- Must demonstrate the ability to perform work independently
- Strong computer skills
- Preferred Experience in the HVAC industry, programming controls
- Six plus years of Project Management experience
- Knowledge of project accounting, costing principles
- Relevant technical hands-on experience in systems design and commissioning of digital HVAC controls systems
