Job Summary
Lead automation design teams for BAS/HVAC controls in data-center environments; design and implement front-end platforms for HVAC controls; develop configuration, programming, networking and diagnostic standards; mentor and lead engineers; collaborate with Electrical/Mechanical teams on system sequences and power requirements; review shop drawings and participate in design reviews; provide proactive recommendations for critical environment control systems; travel up to 5% to support projects in LA/NYC areas; requires a BS in Engineering and experience with PLC/ALC and common BAS protocols (BACnet IP/MSTP, Modbus TCP/RTU); experience with data-center HVAC equipment (Chillers, AHUs, CRAHs/CRACs) and familiarity with major vendors (Johnson Controls, Siemens, Automated Logic, Honeywell, GE, Schneider Electric); strong client-facing communication and project coordination skills; Proficiency in IT/OT interface considerations and basic networking; ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Required Qualifications
- BA / BS in Engineering or relevant degree
- Experience integrating PLC / ALC with complex data center / mission critical facilities
- 5-10+ years with BMS / BCM / BAS systems
- Hands-on experience with BACnet IP, BACnet MSTP, Modbus RTU, Modbus TCP
- Knowledge of IT/OT interfaces and networking basics
- Strong communication and client-facing skills
- MS Office Suite proficiency
- Ability to read / audit blueprints and CAD drawings
- Travel willingness
- Submittal process knowledge
