Job Summary
Conduct end-to-end testing, starting up, commissioning, troubleshooting, and servicing on assigned HVAC equipment including air cooled chillers, package units, and variable frequency drives. Perform scheduled and unscheduled preventative maintenance, inspections, and service requests for Trane's Rental Service customers in healthcare, education, and office complex markets. Coordinate with ASM and Service Center Coordinators to understand on-site requirements while utilizing cutting-edge software, hand tools, and blueprints to diagnose and repair units. Maintain customer, vendor, and coworker relationships through effective oral and written communication, ensuring safety standards and accountability for company assets. Work onsite at customer locations with occasional overnight stays and overtime as business requires.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- At least 5+ years of experience servicing, troubleshooting, and repairing commercial or industrial HVAC equipment, including chiller systems
- Operating knowledge of Microsoft office software
- Working proficiency with hand held computer (i.e. Smartphone)
- EPA Certification
- Some travel required
- Ability to work overtime and weeks as the business requires, including occasional overnight stays
