Job Summary
Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and boilers to ensure optimal performance and energy efficiency. Perform preventive maintenance such as cleaning coils, replacing filters, and checking refrigerant levels while responding promptly to maintenance requests from property managers or tenants. Diagnose system malfunctions using diagnostic tools, install new equipment, and assist with other building systems like plumbing and electrical. Conduct regular property inspections to identify needs and maintain accurate records of all activities using maintenance management software. Adhere to safety protocols and communicate effectively with stakeholders. Valid HVAC certification, three years of experience, and willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and on-call rotations are required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- completion of an HVAC certification program or apprenticeship
- Valid HVAC technician certification from a recognized accrediting body
- Proven experience in HVAC maintenance and repair
