HVAC BIM Coordinator

Job Summary
HVAC BIM Coordinator responsible for developing and managing detailed HVAC models (Level 400), shop drawings, isometrics, schedules, and spool drawings for fabrication and installation. Lead internal coordination meetings; coordinate RFIs with Project Managers and Superintendents; oversee third-party production teams; generate Trimble layout points using Trimble RTS FieldLink; proficient in Revit and Navisworks Manage; strong knowledge of HVAC systems, sheet metal, and relevant codes (SMACNA, NFPA). Emphasis on coordinating with stakeholders to resolve conflicts, ensure project success, and continuous learning of new VDC platforms/add-ins.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Formal BIM/VDC/CAD training preferred
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in MEP VDC and fabrication
- Experience with third-party production teams a plus
- Proficiency in Revit and Navisworks Manage (required)
- Strong knowledge of sheet metal systems, materials, and installation methods
- Understanding of SMACNA, NFPA, and mechanical codes
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 preferred
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and lead coordination efforts
