Job Summary
Conduct residential and commercial HVAC installation and service under experienced technician supervision. Diagnose system malfunctions, determine repair scope, and maintain neat work areas while adhering to strict safety protocols. Operate service vans, manage company vehicles, and perform related duties as required. Work long hours during peak heating and cooling seasons, including extreme weather conditions. Maintain a valid Texas driver's license, current TDLR, and EPA certification.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- One year of experience in construction, maintenance, or other trades setting
- High School Diploma, GED and/or a certification from an accredited technical school
- Any equivalent combination of experience, training and/or education approved by Tom's Management Team
- Must have a current, valid Texas Driver's License
- Clear or near clear driving record
- Current TDLR certification
- EPA certification
- Ability to successfully read, write, type, and calculate
- Must be able to bend or twist body 90 degrees in either direction
- Must be able to stand on all surfaces for long periods of time
- Must be able to work in tight, uncomfortable spaces such as hot attics
- Must be able to squat and touch floor with hands
- Must be able to use hands to handle, control or feel objects, tools and/or controls
- Must be able to climb ladder, scaffolds and/or poles safely
- Must be able to use repetitive motions
- Must be able to walk and/or run for long periods of time
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to lift/pull 60 lbs.
- Must be able to physically climb ladders
- Must be able to work long hours during peak heating and cooling seasons, including extreme heat, extreme cold, and inclement weather
- Must be able to pass a 10-panel drug screen
- Must be able to pass a background clearance verification
- Must be able to maintain a safe working environment
- Must be able to communicate any safety concerns to the assigned SME
- Must have professional and courteous verbal and written communication skills
- Must have first-rate interpersonal and customer service skills
- Must have excellent attention to detail
- Must have good driving record with continual ability to pass our driving record for insurability purposes
- Must have solid time management skills with ability to meet deadlines
- Must have strong problem-solving skills
- Must have ability to prioritize tasks
- Must have ability to function well in a high-paced, demanding, and/or strenuous environment
- Must have strong work ethic and behavior
- Must have neat and clean appearance during working hours
