HVAC and Controls Service Technician

The HVAC and Controls Service Technician is responsible for maintaining, servicing, and commissioning HVAC mechanical and control systems across multiple NB locations. Perform preventive maintenance and service on HVAC/mechanical and control systems, diagnose and repair issues involving refrigeration, ventilation, electrical, electronic, and digital control systems, and identify retrofit opportunities to support business growth. Install and retrofit HVAC mechanical systems, perform start-ups and commissioning to enhance technical proficiency, and provide accurate estimates for new projects and retrofits. Prioritize safety, apply full system knowledge to troubleshoot and optimize performance, and deliver high-quality customer service while building strong client relationships. Independently schedule service tasks, complete work orders accurately and on time, review and prioritize tasks with the Service Coordinator, and ensure timely billing and administrative processing. Strong collaboration with on-site trades, mentorship of entry-level technicians, and clear communication with customers about system status are emphasized. The role emphasizes field service in a full-time permanent capacity with a focus on maintaining, servicing, and optimizing HVAC and controls systems for an industrial/commercial setting in Eastern Canada.
