Job Summary
HVAC and Controls Service Technician responsible for maintaining, servicing, and commissioning HVAC mechanical and controls systems across two NB locations. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose and repair refrigeration, ventilation, electrical, and digital control systems, install/retrofit mechanical systems, perform start-ups and commissioning, develop accurate estimates for projects, and provide proactive recommendations to improve performance while delivering high-quality customer service and building strong client relationships. The role emphasizes safety compliance, timely completion of work orders, and collaboration with on-site trades to support business opportunities in the Eastern Canada HVAC and industrial controls space.
Required Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning
- 1–3 years of experience in a service-focused role within a related industry
- Strong understanding of HVAC and controls systems, including energy management systems
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build strong client relationships
- Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with other on-site trades; multilingual ability is an asset
- Self-motivated with strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple work orders
- Ability to mentor and support entry-level technicians
- Ability to diagnose and resolve system issues, perform preventive maintenance, start-ups, installations, and commissioning of HVAC mechanical and control systems
