Job Summary
HV Substation Project Manager role responsible for end-to-end management of high-voltage substations (69kV-500kV) including design, construction, testing, energization, and interconnection coordination. Core duties include reviewing agreements and specifications, overseeing LNTP and Early-Stage deliverables, managing budgets and procurement of long-lead HV equipment, leading subcontractor scopes, RFIs, change orders, and safety performance, coordinating with utilities and owners, and ensuring on-schedule, within-budget delivery with minimal rework. Strong emphasis on cross-team coordination across PV, BESS, and substation infrastructure, with extensive travel to project sites and offices; role is fully remote with potential on-site requirements as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in substation design, construction, or commissioning of utility-scale or industrial high-voltage (69kV to 500kV) systems
- Experience leading multi-disciplinary substation projects through full lifecycle—from kickoff to energization
- Familiarity with substation components: transformers, circuit breakers, switchgear, grounding, control buildings, protection & control, relays, SCADA, etc.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; P6 scheduling experience preferred
