Job Summary
Provide animal care and maintain a clean vivarium environment for research animals. Duties include daily care, animal receipt and housing, environmental sanitation, autoclave use, health monitoring, collecting labeled swabs/cultures/fecal samples for pathogen testing, maintaining accurate records of animal health/receipts/conditions, stocking supplies, and equipment maintenance. Demonstrates reliability, strong work ethic, and a positive attitude; ALAT certification preferred; salary range aligns with $23-$25/hour. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience with animals in a research or laboratory setting preferred
- Experience with basic animal husbandry practices including feeding, cleaning, and health monitoring is advantageous
