Job Summary
Set tables, chairs, staging, air walls, barricades, pipe and drape, and dance floors before, during, and after events. Sweep, mop, scrub, wax, vacuum, clean surfaces, empty trash, and operate compactors. Perform deep cleaning projects including carpet extraction, floor stripping, sanitization, window cleaning, and bathroom maintenance. Maintain supply rooms, operate utility vehicles and scrubbers, and report equipment damages. Keep supervisors informed on work status and complete assigned tasks within time periods.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must possess and demonstrate good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to communicate via radio
- Must maintain a professional appearance
- Ability to perform routine and repetitive housekeeping and certain event set up tasks without immediate supervision
- Ability to take direction and complete assigned tasks accurately and on time
- Ability to operate various cleaning machines and equipment within the Center
- Ability to work both as a part of a team and independently without direct supervision
- Ability and willingness to work flexible hours, which could include evenings/nights, holidays and weekends as dictated by event activity
- Must be available to work weekends
- Must be able to lift, carry, push/pull items weighing up to approximately 40 lbs
- Must be able to climb stairs frequently
- Must be able to kneel consistently
- Must be able to reach above and below waist level frequently
- Must have vision, hearing and speech frequently for public communications, public speaking, judging distances, reading signs, listening to others in a public forum/ noisy atmosphere
- Must be able to perform tasks related to the handling of mail and/or other deliveries to our loading dock area as directed
Desired Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required
- 6 months' experience within housekeeping or custodial, preferred
- Familiar with basic cleaning products, tools and housekeeping practices
- Experience in similar facility setting is preferred but not required
- Must have a driver's license or have willingness and ability to obtain for required equipment operation
