Job Summary
Linguists are sought to support current and future foreign language requirements across YSG and TU, including interpretation (in-person and virtual), translation of written/electronic/audio/video materials, document review/editing, and foreign language instruction in classroom or virtual settings. This evergreen requisition covers multiple language support roles for government contracts, with opportunities across remote and CONUS locations. Candidates must meet ILR 2+ proficiency (CAT I/II) or ILR 3 (CAT III) levels and security clearance requirements. Travel may be required. Required Qualifications
- LSS Qualifications (Task Support Dependent): CAT I English ILR level 2+; CAT II ILR level 2+ with U.S. citizenship and security vetting; CAT III ILR level 3 in English with TS/SCI or interim TS clearance and citizenship requirements
- Ability to provide idiomatic translations English<->foreign language
- Consecutive and accurate translation/interpretation of ongoing conversations
- Familiarity with local culture and customs
- Willingness to live and work in harsh environments as mission dictates
- Ability to work as part of a highly trained professional team
- Knowledge of specialized vocabulary in English and the foreign language related to government missions
- Speak English and foreign language fluently with regionalisms and colloquial slang
- Maintain tone and register of source materials
