Job Summary
Hungarian Distance Learning Associate Language Instructor delivers live virtual instruction to develop Hungarian language proficiency ( Listening, Reading, Speaking ) as measured by DLPT/OPI/ACTFL, and teaches regional culture topics using blended-learning methods. Responsibilities include designing and delivering instruction aligned to designated POI, developing lesson plans and materials, assessing and providing feedback, maintaining a positive virtual learning environment, and collaborating with the Site Lead and POI analyst to address curriculum gaps. Candidate must be a US citizen with ILR 3/3/3-like proficiency, have access to essential tech (Windows PC, webcam, headset, internet), and may utilize online platforms such as CL-150 or Blackboard. Remote work is supported with no travel required; location noted as Remote with an additional US-based work site at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, WA.
Required Qualifications
- US Citizen
- Educated native speaker of the foreign language or near-native capability with ILR 3/3/3 or equivalent
- Experience in virtual foreign language instruction
- Understanding of cultural, social, political environment of the foreign language region
- Experience in creating blended learning lessons and tailoring materials
- Access to Windows computer, webcam, headset with microphone, phone or tablet, and high-speed internet
- Desire to use CL-150 or Blackboard (preferred)
- Bachelor's Degree
