Job Summary
Assist in the preparation and serving of meals to guests by serving in assigned kitchen roles such as Cook, Baker, Dishwasher, Host/Hostess, Pantry Assistant, or Commissary Assistant. Follow all safety procedures and directions provided by supervisors while maintaining a positive, cooperative attitude that represents Hume Christian Camps' values and mission. Perform physical tasks including standing, walking, and lifting 50 pounds, working both indoors and outdoors in extreme weather conditions at high altitude. Must be at least 18 years old, agree with the organization's Statement of Faith, and have a personal commitment to Jesus Christ. On-site housing is provided for a minimal rate, with dining available at a reduced cost.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old or a dependent resident in Hume Lake housing
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Willingness to perform physical tasks and work outdoors or indoors as needed
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work under supervision
- Must agree with and support Hume Christian Camps' Statement of Faith
- Must have a personal commitment to Jesus Christ and a desire to share the Gospel through word and deed
- Ability to stand, walk, frequently lift 50 pounds, bend, and perform physical tasks throughout the workday
- Live and work in extreme weather conditions, at high altitude, and in small living quarters
