Job Summary
Teach assigned live virtual humanities or economics classes and provide one-on-one tutoring support to adult learners. Deliver engaging instruction on topics like the Art of the Western World, Ethics in America, and Principles of Macroeconomics while simplifying complex concepts into practical examples. Adapt real-time to varying student backgrounds, track progress, and share observations with the eLearning team. Collaborate with instructors during team meetings and perform other eLearning-related duties as assigned. This part-time role requires under 20 hours per week with flexible weekday or weekend availability for morning, afternoon, or evening sessions.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Humanities, History, Economics, Philosophy, Political Science, Social Sciences, Education, or a related field
- Experience teaching, tutoring, mentoring, or coaching adult learners
- Experience teaching one or more of the following: Humanities, Art of the Western World, Ethics in America, History of the United States, Principles of Macroeconomics, or Principles of Microeconomics
- Strong eLearning or virtual classroom experience
- Comfortable using Zoom, Moodle, Google Workspace, and other eLearning technologies
- Ability to facilitate discussions, simplify complex concepts, and encourage active participation in a virtual classroom
- Reliable high-speed internet connection
