Job Summary
1:1 Humanities and Executive Function Tutor at Drew School, a part-time, in-person role in San Francisco. Provide structured, individualized guidance for high school English, history, and social science courses while explicitly teaching executive functioning skills (time management, task prioritization, organization, and study habits). Collaborate with a learning-support team, attend bi-weekly meetings, and support neurodiverse students with progress monitoring and family communication. Requires strong writing, reading comprehension, and historical synthesis abilities; Bachelor's degree required, Master's preferred; two days per week availability (Tue–Fri), 8:30am–3:30pm; compensation $50-$65 per hour; potential eligibility for retirement plan with employer match.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in English, History, Education, Special Education, or a related field required
- Master’s degree preferred
- Proven experience tutoring high school-aged students in a 1:1 setting
- Experience with executive functioning coaching and literacy/writing instruction
- Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills
- Availability to tutor minimum two consecutive days per week (Tue-Fri) 8:30am-3:30pm
