Job Summary
Lead Humanity & Inclusion's security management in South Sudan, overseeing safety assessments, incident and crisis management, and the development and implementation of security policies. Represent HI with authorities and humanitarian actors, negotiate access to new geographic areas, guide emergency preparedness, and drive operational safety. Manage and develop the security team, ensure policy compliance and risk mitigation across field offices (e.g., Juba and regional bases), and maintain strong coordination with local stakeholders while supporting protection-focused programming (including MHPSS and disability inclusion).
Required Qualifications
- Fluency in English (French is an asset)
- Ability to work effectively in complex and pressurized environments
- Proven experience in security management, humanitarian access and team management
- Knowledge of security management systems and crisis management
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to influence and develop relationships at all levels
- Initiative, creativity and sensitivity
- Security risk assessments and safety recommendations
- Incident and crisis management and rapid field presence
- Experience with emergency preparedness and representation/coordination with partners
