Human Trafficking Specialist

Job Summary
Conduct outreach in designated hot spots to encounter and engage potential victims, perform assessments, and provide appropriate victim services. Collaborate with the Navigator Program to refer non-victims for assistance. Maintain client confidentiality, interact professionally with all community members, and serve as a liaison between the program and community partners. Collect assessment data and process information in the Give Hope Database. Develop relationships with funding agencies, service providers, and law enforcement. Present planning information sessions and community forums three times annually. Identify matters requiring decision-making for the Regional IMPACT Director. Maintain technical knowledge through educational workshops and training sessions. Requires a Bachelor's degree, two years of human services experience, trauma-informed care knowledge, and a valid driver's license. Schedule is subject to change based on program needs.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Two years of experience in a human services field
- Experience working with trauma informed care
- Experience working with victims of human trafficking
- Good oral and written communications skills
- Organization skills
- Functioning knowledge of computer software, specifically Microsoft Office, including Access, Excel and Word
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to smell
- Ability to stoop
- Ability to use hands to handle or feel
- Ability to reach
- Ability to stand
- Ability to walk
- Ability to sit
- Ability to talk
- Ability to hear
- Ability to see clearly at 20 inches or less
- Ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while remain fixed on a given point
