Human Services Trainee

Community Employment Services Trainee role within Goodwill of Western and Northern Connecticut. Responsibilities include coaching, training, and supporting participants to promote independence at work sites; observing and reporting participants’ employment readiness and needs for accommodations; completing required documentation in the case management database; assisting participants with job-seeking skills and interview techniques; conducting participant intakes; developing and implementing Individual Service Plans (ISPs); identifying suitable community job sites; educating employers about CES services; collaborating on monthly billing packets; and providing transportation to and from work sites as needed. Requires driving in-state, lifting up to 50 lbs, and proficiency with Microsoft Office; First Aid and CPR training provided after hire. Start dates involve potential regional assignments and program completion leading to a specific position within the program.
