Human Services Trainee

Community Employment Services Trainee at Goodwill of Western and Northern Connecticut. Responsibilities include providing coaching, training, and support to participants to promote independence at their work sites; observing and reporting participants’ ability to engage in competitive employment and identifying needs for accommodations; completing required documentation in the case management database; assisting participants with job-seeking skills, interview techniques, and development of competitive worker characteristics; welcoming new participants and conducting intakes; developing and implementing ISPs to establish employment goals and steps; identifying and developing community job sites aligned with participant needs; educating employers about CES services; collaborating with team to prepare billing packets; and providing transportation to and from work sites as needed. Required qualifications note experience in human services, driving capabilities, First Aid/CPR, ability to lift 50 lbs, and proficiency with Word, Excel, and Outlook.
