Job Summary
Human Service Clinician with a focus on psychosocial assessment, diagnosis, counseling therapy, and crisis intervention in outpatient mental health and substance use settings. Responsibilities include conducting face-to-face clinical assessments within 7 days of request, delivering evidence-based treatment, and coordinating with stakeholders to ensure appropriate transition of services. Provides individual, family, and/or group therapy, and engages in case management/supportive services for disposition of cases. Works under indirect supervision, with productivity expectations (minimum 25 units billed). Requires coordination with community providers, law enforcement, and family/support networks; involves referrals and documentation to ensure reimbursement. Education/experience requirements include Doctorate in Psychology or Master’s in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or Marriage and Family Therapy with licensed eligibility or provisional licensure; LCSW/LCAS or licensed-eligible professionals are considered. Strong emphasis on clinical assessment, treatment planning, and community-based first evaluations; experience with documentation, intake, assessments, screenings, and outreach in a community setting.
Required Qualifications
- Doctorate degree in Psychology, or Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, counseling, or marriage and family therapy from an accredited college or university
- licensed eligible or provisionally licensed in their perspective field (LCSW, LCAS, licensed professional counselor, psychologist, etc.)
