Human Rights and Compliance Sustainability Program Lead

Job Summary
Lead implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of the global human rights due diligence program aligned with LkSG, CSDDD, CSRD, and UN Guiding Principles. Serve as the primary point of contact for human rights matters across the organization, conducting annual risk analyses covering operations and supply chains to identify and mitigate adverse impacts. Coordinate supplier due diligence, including risk-based audits and conflict-minerals assessments, while administering the human rights complaints procedure and tracking remediation to completion. Prepare draft responses for the Annual General Shareholders' Meeting, draft regulatory disclosures for CSRD/ESRS filings, and report performance to senior management and the Human Rights Steering Committee. Collaborate cross-functionally with Procurement, Legal, and Internal Audit to influence ESG ratings and maintain the organization's human rights policy statement. Requires fluency in German and English, with up to 25% travel required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in compliance, human rights, ESG, sustainability reporting, legal, or a related field
- Fluency in German and English (written and verbal)
- Deep knowledge of human rights due diligence frameworks, including LkSG, CSDDD, CSRD/ESRS, the UN Guiding Principles, and the OECD Guidelines
- Strong knowledge of corporate compliance, ethics, governance, and sustainability reporting requirements
- Demonstrated experience implementing compliance, sustainability, or human rights due diligence programs and managing complex cross-functional initiatives
- Strong analytical, organizational, project management, and written communication skills
- Ability to influence stakeholders without direct authority while managing multiple priorities in a global environment
- Demonstrated integrity, professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment
- Up to 25% travel
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree or equivalent qualification in Law, Business, Economics, Human Rights, Political Science, or similar
- Professional certifications in compliance, ethics, human rights due diligence, or ESG
- Experience within a multinational organization
- Experience within the healthcare industry
