Job Summary
Lead the 2nd shift HR function from 12:00pm to 8:30pm, serving as a consultant to management on employee relations, performance management, and compliance with federal and state employment laws. Conduct thorough investigations into employee issues, recommend corrective actions, and manage benefits, new hire orientations, and worker's compensation claims for the retail support center. Coordinate annual engagement surveys, stay interviews, and employee events while reporting turnover trends. Work as an employee champion to foster a positive relations environment, ensuring all solutions align with Ace values and organizational goals.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field
- equivalent experience
- PHR/SPHR
- HR experience
- Passionate 'does whatever it takes' attitude
- Ability to multitask and work well in the high-pressured environment
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Outstanding interpersonal skills, with the ability to create effective relationships throughout the organization with both rank & file as well as upper management
- Successful and demonstrated HR generalist experience with proven track record in compensation practices, organizational development, employee relations, diversity, performance management, federal and state respective employment laws
- Project management skills
- Proven presentation and training experience, focus group facilitation
- Solid knowledge and experience with investigative / interviewing techniques
- Excellent consulting skills
- Strong conflict management skills
- Ability to envision, develop, and implement new strategies to address business issues
- Self-directed and motivated
- Ability to take initiative to identify and anticipate business needs and make recommendations for implementation
- 2nd Shift HR Supervisor Sunday - Thursday 12:00pm - 8:30pm (5 x 8's)
- Flexible to deal with issues that arise outside of normal business hours
