Job Summary
Process bi-weekly payroll, manage benefit payments and enrollments, and maintain accurate records within the Paylocity HRIS platform. Coordinate new hire onboarding and offboarding activities, review timesheets, and support HR audits and reporting initiatives. Ensure compliance with organizational policies and applicable regulations while handling confidential personnel data with discretion. Based in the downtown Charleston administrative office, this role supports the Director of Human Resources and operations across multiple statewide locations.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, or related field
- Minimum of two years of progressively responsible experience in human resources, payroll, accounting, or benefits administration
- Experience using payroll software, HRIS platforms, and other business systems
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working in a multi-site organization
- Experience with Paylocity or other cloud-based HRIS systems
- Familiarity with nonprofit organizations and grant-funded environments
- HR, payroll, or benefits administration experience
