Job Summary
Conduct full-cycle recruitment activities, including sourcing, screening, and coordinating interviews. Support new hire onboarding, ensuring timely completion of payroll, benefits, and work authorization documentation. Track 90-day performance reviews for new hires and process employee status changes with proper compliance. Provide guidance on benefits, payroll, and HR policies while maintaining personnel files and conducting periodic audits of I-9s, EEO, and affirmative action records. Assist with prevailing wage compliance and stay current with federal, state, and local employment laws. Manage employee relations efforts, including investigations and conflict resolution, to support organizational goals. This role supports the SR400 Express Lanes Project, a transformative $4.6 billion infrastructure initiative with a peak workforce of over 500.
Required Qualifications
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Minimum of 2 years of HR experience in recruitment, onboarding, and HR compliance
- Solid understanding of HR processes, employment laws, and documentation requirements
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and experience with HRIS systems
- Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail and effective communication abilities
- Proven ability to manage sensitive information with professionalism and confidentiality
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and thrive in a fast-paced environment
Desired Qualifications
- aPHR, PHR, or SHRM-CP certification
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field
- Prior experience in the construction or infrastructure industry
