Job Summary
HR Specialist (Classification and Compensation) performs professional human resources duties as a subject matter expert in a specific functional area of HR. Responsibilities include providing technical guidance and support across HR functions, interpreting Federal and State laws and agency policies, collaborating on major HR programs, conducting research and reporting findings, participating in process improvements, delivering employee workshops and training, and representing department interests in committees or meetings. Skills include data analysis, evaluating program effectiveness, effective written and oral communication, and the ability to collaborate with others; requires working in an office environment in Tampa, FL.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management (Administration), Business Management, Public Administration, or a Social or Behavioral Science; AND Three years of professional human resources experience; OR An equivalent combination of education (not less than a High School Diploma/GED), training and experience that would reasonably be expected to provide the job-related competencies noted above.
