Job Summary
Conduct compliance analysis, update retention data, and advise on employee concerns while ensuring adherence to laws like HIPAA and FMLA. Manage recruiting pipelines, coordinate onboarding, and support area staffing strategies through university partnerships. Lead training initiatives including new associate orientation, manager system training, and ambassador development to foster an inclusive culture. Monitor performance management, coordinate departmental events, and execute special assignments as directed by Area HR Leadership. Based in Santa Ana covering Southern California operations.
Required Qualifications
- Bilingual Spanish
- Human Resources Business Partner experience
- Knowledge of compliance laws and regulations including HIPAA, FMLA, and USERRA
- Experience with Company-sponsored plans, programs and Collective Bargaining Agreements
- Ability to conduct wage analysis and gather wage information
- Experience updating exit interview, turnover and retention data
- Ability to provide guidance to associates regarding FMLA requirements
- Experience advising Human Resources Managers on employee concerns, issues or complaints
- Policy interpretation skills
- Experience with HR related matters including I-9s and AAP good faith efforts
- Experience conducting New Associate Orientation
- Ability to set up trainings in support of organizational development strategy
- Experience conducting new hire training
- Ability to monitor training records, identify training needs, and coordinate training classes
- Experience overseeing enrollment for training
- Experience training HR Systems and Process Training for Managers
- Experience conducting Ambassador training and providing refresher training
- Ability to monitor PCM, goal plans, developmental plans, and mid-year check ins
- Experience promoting a positive working environment
- Experience fostering an inclusive work environment

- Experience attending recruiting events
- Ability to collaborate with managers on recruiting efforts
- Ability to anticipate staffing needs and develop staffing strategies
- Experience establishing and maintaining relationships with Universities, Colleges, Tech Schools, and Community Based Organizations
- Ability to build candidate pipelines
- Experience utilizing a diversity lens when sourcing and selecting candidates
- Experience with the background check process
- Ability to present background check details to Area HR Managers for approval
- Experience managing on-boarding activities including the Area Ambassador Program
- Experience partnering with Corporate HR Departments
- Experience with bargaining prep including wage analysis and HR metrics
- Experience conducting risk assessments
- Ability to ensure Area consistency in performance management and corrective action process
- Experience with attendance policy administration
- Ability to perform administrative duties for AHRM and Area Recruiter
- Ability to coordinate HR and Area departmental sponsored events
- Experience updating reporting databases
- Proactive approach to ensuring associates are in the right jobs and are fully engaged
