Job Summary
Create job postings adhering to citywide requirements and DCAS policies, then review resumes to assess suitability against minimum qualifications. Coordinate interview logistics, including scheduling and panel coordination, while managing communications with candidates. Process new hires, transfers, and promotions in compliance with regulations, and initiate tracking for pre-selected candidates. Enter data for personnel transactions within NYCAPS and generate HR reports. Represent the agency at hiring events, manage civil service appointment lists, and facilitate hiring pools. Serve as the primary contact for selected candidates, overseeing job offers, onboarding paperwork, background checks, and fingerprinting. Ensure all pre-onboarding documentation is reviewed and submitted, and assist employees with navigating NYCAPS and ESS systems.
Required Qualifications
- A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college
- An associate degree or 60 semester credits from an accredited college
- A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent approved by a State's department of education or a recognized accrediting organization
- Three years of satisfactory full-time progressively responsible clerical/administrative experience
- Four years of satisfactory full-time progressively responsible clerical/administrative experience
- Five years of satisfactory full-time progressively responsible clerical/administrative experience
- One year of administrative or supervisory experience
- Education above the high school level may be substituted for the general clerical/administrative experience at a rate of 30 semester credits from an accredited college for 6 months of experience up to a maximum of 3 1/2 years
